Titled “Les Mâts Ensoleillés” or “The Sunny Masts”, this limited edition lithograph by French artist André Bourrié (1936-2017) depicts a harbor of docked boats, the linear forms of the boats and occupying houses in the background being the only separation between blue seas and sky. This piece showcases the masterful blend of pointillism and impressionism in Bourrié’s work that led him to being named an official Painter of the French Navy, or Peintre de la Marine, a title bestowed onto French artists that have devoted their talents to the sea and maritime subjects. Framed in gold, this limited edition lithograph is framed in gold and is signed and numbered 92/125 by the artist along the bottom of the print.
