Dated to the early 1900s, this automatic cashier by the Brandt Manufacturing Company offers a unique, bygone piece of American history to add to the antiques collection. This automatic coin changer was invented by Edward J. Brandt, who was working as a cashier in Watertown, Wisconsin, to dispense change automatically via pressing buttons which were numbered from 1 to 99 cents. A winner of multiple awards at the 1900 Universal Exposition and the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, this historic find is meant for display only.
