Antique English Leather Fire Bucket

SOLD

Sourced from England, this fire bucket from a bygone age will make a great conversation piece in any antiques collection. Leather fire buckets were traditionally used as fire extinguishers in the 17th century and earlier. The water from fountains, rivers, and ponds were brought back to the fire in leather buckets, similar to the one listed here, with the modernization of fire brigades gradually phasing out their usage. Heavily distressed, this cylindrical bucket includes a handle for ease of carriage, but is recommended for display only.

This leather fire bucket is amongst hundreds of pieces of décor that are available at our location in Grandview! Come in today and see the full collection.
