Set at dusk, this painting of a meadow uses exceptional compositional balance, using diagonal separation of space, something often incorporated into her Nordic landscapes that featured bodies of water. An expertly crafted painting, Holmlund's use color works alongside the compositional formation, allowing the eye to travel in a zig-zag pattern, using blue hues opposite of each in their respective corner. Signed and dated in the lower left hand by the artist.

In 1990, he published his first nonfiction book By Way of Deception, which became a New York Times bestseller.
