Original mixed media painting on board by American outsider artist Harry Underwood (1968-). Painted with house paint and lettered with no. 2 pencils, Underwood delivers a scene from the “Ardmore Sweets”. This surrealistic family vacation has a female figure hula hooping in the foreground, next to a seated male figure. A sprinkler is going off next to the blackened pool while the hotel looms ominously in the background. Poetry embellishes the sky, creating a truly dreamlike scene for the viewer. The text reads:
"I can imagine this sky filled with cloudy symbols of high romance and an atmosphere of impulsive wishes and rewards. All of the time!"

LEVENT ISIK “Siamese Cat” Mixed Media Folk Art
“Siamese Cat” mixed media piece by local Columbus, Ohio artist Levent Isik bears the bold style of folk art. Colorblocking of red and white, and black and purple, dimensionally frames the titular cat. The cat has a small plush face with fur, blue eyes, a pink nose, and a red mouth. Black and white stripes color the cat, with a red fringe shag. A yellow background has a green and white border. Signed and titled on front and back, dated October 2003.

Made by Ohio artist Robert Martin (1918-1998) from rustic barn wood, this primitive cut-out creates a soldier with crossed arms and a large drum, in a red hat and jacket. Hand painted details decorate the rustic wood while still highlighting the material. “1812” is painted on the base. “Primitives ‘76 Unlimited” written on reverse.

About the Artist:
Robert Martin (1918-1998) was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised by his grandmother. His grandmother, having grown up in the Victorian Era, is responsible for the period's influence on his early works. Martin studied the painting from books of the masters, old and new. He worked from life, enjoying the process and interaction that was created. In the 1980s, he began working from photographs with his series of Victorian Village scenes. An ever-learning student, his work has distinctly different decades reflecting his progress and interests. Persisting was his use of oil on canvas, despite his training in other mediums. His poetic soul was evident in his philosophy as an artist.
