“Venice Autumn” by Jean-Pierre Weill is an example of vitreography, a style that Weill pioneered. Vitreography is an art form that uses paint on multiple, overlapping panes of glass to form three dimensional scenes. Although not a widely used style, Weill found much success with this technique. Vitreography gives the image a very dynamic presentation, encouraging the scene to be understood and perceived in different ways. #8/250.

This original painting on canvas by Houston-based artist Danny Gillies depicts a cosmic landscape, with spaceships and alien structures landing and departing from the dusty surface of an unknown moon. Painting with what he deemed, “Hyperspective”, Gillies paintings are contemporary, yet present electrifying vibes that perfectly embody the rock n’ roll attitude of the 1970s and 1980s. This painting is housed in a simple wood framing and has been signed and dated to 1979 by the artist in the lower left hand corner of the canvas.
