About the Artist:
David Schackne (1923-2004) was an architect who designed many of Columbus's public high schools. As a teenager he studied at Columbus Art School (now CCAD) and would graduate from Ohio State University with a degree in architecture. He later served as adjunct faculty at OSU, as well as a member of the Ohio Watercolor Society and the Central Ohio Watercolor Society.
