“Bee My Baby” by Marco is a hand colored lithograph. The cartoon piece depicts a girl and a bee atop a beehive, with white daisies all around. Signed by artist, dated 5/23/99. Text on the beehive reads:
A little girl was stung by a bee, she kept it but was unhappy.
Buzzed the bee after three years won’t you forgive me, oh my dear
Though the pain of the sting was long gone the memory lingered on
The bee made honey for the girl,
With sweet kisses they ruled
The world.
