“Wedding Above the Village” by artist TF Chen uses rich, saturated color to depict figures hovering over a village, which is stylistically inspired by Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”. Float mounted against linen in a gold frame, numbered 134/250 and signed in corner.
About the Artist:
Dr. TF Chen is a Taiwan-born painter, art historian, writer, philosopher, and master artist. He merges Western and Eastern cultures with his extensive education, having his MA in French Contemporary Literature and Ph.D in art history from La Sorbonne, which he earned while simultaneously studying painting at L’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts. In 1969, Dr. Chen established “Five-Dimensional World Culture” in theory and initiated his signature style of “Neo-Iconography” in art. Dr. Chen has published over 22 books in English, French, and Chinese about art, and has been the focus of over 200 one-man exhibitions globally.
