A pair of French Louis XVI style side chairs dated back to the early 1900’s and finished in an exquisite needlepoint upholstery that depicts a courting scene between a male and female figure. Standing on reeded legs, these armchairs are finished in a gold painted frame and ornamented with decorative nailheads around the trim, margental upholstery and carvings, and carved floral medallions on the frame. Crowned by a decorative ribbon carving at the top of each chair.
