Vintage salesman sample bench and braided rug have an adorable diminutive size that allowed them to be easily carried by traveling furniture salesmen. The small bench has cylindrical dowels to support the curved back with carved paw arms above turned posts. A series of turned legs and stretchers creates a stylish base. An oval shaped braided rug is the perfect complement to this bench, woven with blue, pink, green, grey, and white. Fabric label on underside notes that it was purchased in 1942.
