Signed artist proof by American painter and printmaker Irving Amen (1918-2011) depicts four male figures huddled around chess pieces, likely depicting a game of chess in a park setting. Amen’s work pays great attention to the details of each figure’s features and has rendered an intricate image dripping with modernist appeal. Framed in brown with a black border and signed by the artist in the bottom right hand corner.
