About the Artist: Olivia Parker (1941-) was born in Boston, Massachusetts and attended Wellesley College, where she earned her degree in art history. From there she started her career as a painter before moving to photography in 1973. She worked with assemblages of collected items, primarily creating large format works. A skiing accident in 1995 turned her to a digital medium, as her capacity for physical photo development was limited.
