A piece of home cooking history! The Ideal Cooker by The Toledo Cooker Co. was an early version of today’s crock pot or slow cooker. Two spacious metal lined wells within the wooden housing were designed as a new style of cooking, advertised as economical in fuel saving and in keeping the kitchen cool in warm months. The lids have supporting hinges and securing latches. Metal branding plate indicates 1914 patent. Intended at this point in time for decorative purposes only.
