- Made from birdseye maple with custom drawer pulls and applied decorative motifs

- Made sometime between 1880-1930
- Custom made in Vietnam for a French general who was stationed there, overseeing a rubber plantation
- When France left Vietnam, this desk was brought back to France and later sold
- Believed to have 4 owners total over its life
