#7 Chamberstick circa 1905 was crafted from bronze by metalworker Jessie Preston.  Jessie Preston was a woman metalsmith and designer in Chicago 1900-1918. Rare find as she had a limited production.  Jessie Preston was one of the first female graduates of the School of the Art Institute’s decorative design focus, quickly gaining recognition for her jewelry and metalsmithing. Signed with Anderson Foundry mark, Chicago 1905.

Antique Ornate Lyre Wall Sconce with Crystal Dome

Traditional and delightfully ornate, this wall sconce has a very unusual composition. This early 1900s piece has a metal construction. The form of a lyre is suspended by a metal rope from a wall medallion with finial. Olive branches, tassels, and slivers of red glass decorate the piece. A crystal dome houses a single bulb, activated by a pull chain. This antique piece has been recently rewired and has a standard plug. Available online only.
