A piece of home cooking history! The Ideal Cooker by The Toledo Cooker Co. was an early version of today’s crock pot or slow cooker. Two spacious metal lined wells within the wooden housing were designed as a new style of cooking, advertised as economical in fuel saving and in keeping the kitchen cool in warm months. The lids have supporting hinges and securing latches. Metal branding plate indicates 1914 patent. Intended at this point in time for decorative purposes only.

Antique THOMAS EDISON Phonograph with Horn and Cylinders
Wonderful antique Thomas Edison phonograph has a wooden case with locking lid, featuring a light finish and excellent woodworking details. A black metal pole slides into the mount to suspend the phonograph horn, attaching to the needle that latches down around the musical cylinders. The side crank winds the mechanism that is activated with the flick of a side switch. The cylinder turns against the needle, funneling the sound through the angled horn. Includes additional cylinders. Last copyright date on the metal name plate is 1906.
