KIRSTEN BOWEN Original Oil on Canvas “Epiphany”
Original oil on canvas painting by American painter Kirsten Bowen depicts an abstracted landscape of a treelike form against vermillion and yellow ochre fields of color, a second form lingering to the right side of the canvas. A graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design, Bowen’s techniques have been derived from her mural work in New York and Columbus and here, she crafts a painting with a generous blend of washes and strong brushwork. Mounted on the original stretcher, this painting is signed by the artist in the lower right hand corner of the canvas.
