This limited edition print by Ohio-born American artist Frank McElwain depicts the Tall Stacks event of 1999, a local festival that was held every few years to commemorate Cincinnati’s riverboat heritage. Scores of steamboats begin their approach into the city, with McElwain’s masterful rendering harkening back to the impressionist painters of old. Framed in gold, this limited edition print is signed, numbered 19/500, and includes a hand drawn sketch by McElwain along the bottom of the print.

SHMUEL KATZ (1926-2010) “Untitled Harbor Scene” Lithograph
Original lithograph by Israeli artist, illustrator, and cartoonist Shmuel Katz (1926-2010) depicts an abstracted harbor scene rendered in tones of blue and gold, large ships silently docked as passersby traverse to and from the port. A Holocaust survivor and postwar immigrant, Katz’ sprightly designs have been prominently shown throughout Israel and abroad, with his sketches and watercolors noted for their Futurist influences and touches of humor. This original lithograph is housed in a wood frame and is signed and numbered 135/250 by the artist along the bottom of the print.
