GERT OLSEN (1937-) Wood Sculpture on Wood Plinth and Travertine Base
Original two-piece sculpture by Danish-born artist Gert Olsen (1937-) features a highly modern form of shaped and smoothed wood resting on a travertine base and wooden plinth. Perhaps resembling a bird in flight, Olsen’s interests lie in natural forms to create his abstracted work. A cabinet maker that turned his focus to wood and stone sculpture, Olsen’s tasteful methods of carvings make for a beautiful addition to the collection or gallery. Signed and dated to 1980 by the artist on the reverse side of the sculpture.

GINO RUGGERI “The Three Graces” Resin Sculpture
This small resin sculpture by Italian artist Gino Ruggeri depicts a classical modeling of the Three Graces from Greek mythology. Original gold plated bronze sculpture by Hungarian-born, Columbus-based artist Alfred Tibor depicts a modernist figure asleep, their head propped up by a single, free-standing arm. A Holocaust survivor, Tibor emigrated to the United States in 1957, eventually taking up residence in Columbus, Ohio, where he pursued sculpture full-time and became a staple of the Columbus artistic community. Mounted on a marble base, this sculpture is signed and numbered 8/16 by Tibor at the bottom of the figure’s arm.
