This antique four drawer chest has a walnut exterior with a delightfully warm finish. The walnut fronts are dovetailed to pine drawers. The brass hardware has simple style with tapering hinge pulls with oval escutcheons. Squared corner feet have decorative supports. Antique Eastlake Victorian Chest Circa 1890
Likely an Eastlake custom ordered piece, this unique chest circa the 1880s-1890s is beautifully decorated. Most notably and unusually, a carved frame surrounding the rounded mirror resembles a hand mirror. Turn spindles elevate shelves surrounding the mirror. A taupe and grey marble top creates a surface beneath the mirror, supported by the lower chest. Burled wood veneers throughout the piece add luxurious swirls with a warm glow. Ornate brass swing pulls adorn the three drawers. The top right drawer is lined with green felt and integrated organizers. A wide drawer sits beneath the two smaller drawers. A lower dual door cabinet contains a single shelf. On caster feet.
