Antique German Lithography Stone

A heavy slab of limestone once purposed as a lithography printing stone. Designs, such as the ones on this stone, would be drawn onto the stone and then chemically etched. Ink would be rolled into the etching and then printed upon using a lithography press. This particular stone still has its last image etched into the stone and has been mounted to felt feet to create a charming piece of home décor. Still available for its original purpose, these feet can be removed and the stone re-grained to use for lithographic print. No longer available from the source, lithography stones can only be bought second hand, making this a sought-after piece!
