Antique print by American painter and illustrator Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) features two figures against a sprawling landscape of mountains against a body of water. The piece is framed by two pillars and was inspired by the landscapes of Vermont and New Hampshire to create romantic and lush tones. Titled “Daybreak”, this print by Parrish was one of the most popular images of the 20th Century based on the number of prints made and is considered the epitome of his work. Housed in a rustic medium tone frame, this print has aged to perfection, with Parrish’s name and publishing company visible at the bottom of the image.
