Antique WALTHAM Broadway Model 1857 Pocket Watch

The Waltham Model 1857 watch was made in Waltham, Massachusetts and was the first pocket watch to be made with standardized parts, easing the ability to produce and repair them. This was an early example of American manufacturing during the industrial revolution occurring in Europe. This watch is made from coin silver, which is 90% pure. This particular watch is dated to 1875-1876, size 18s with 7 jewels in the movement. The hinged case has an engraved motif on the front, and a top loop to add a chain. This watch has been cleaned, runs, and keeps time. Includes key for winding.
