Original etching by American printmaker David Fraiser Driesbach (1922-2019) depicts a modern take on the birth of Christ. Rendered in more brutalist tones, figures of an oxen and donkey occupy the center of the composition near the newborn Christ. Mary is posed in the right corner of the image while a hatted man holding a violin peers in through a window cut from a brick wall. Housed in a modest wood frame, this original etching is signed and numbered by Driesbach at the bottom of the print.
