Dulce Beatriz (1931-2021) was a Cuban-born artist who emigrated and settled in Florida in 1960. Considered one of the most important Spanish artists of her time, Beatriz’s figurative and still life work exhibit her mastery of the medium. These pieces are characterized by deep and vibrant colors, powerful brush strokes, and effortless movement. Her art has been exhibited extensively all around the world, even in Dayton, Ohio. Beatriz wasn’t just a prolific artist, she was awarded the “Great Cross Medal” by the Royal Order of Isabella Catolica Queen of Spain and “The Gold Key to the City of Miami-Dade” by Honorable Mayor Stephen P. Clark in Miami, Florida. Her passionate connection with nature and humanity led to her success in art as well as in society.
