About the Artist:
Ed Colston (1938-2006) was a celebrated artist born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.  Colston utilizes found objects to bring culture and life into his work.  He states that this medium can “allow insight that paint alone cannot give”.  He used maps, textural patterns, and color saturation to present memories and hope for Africa and his heritage.  Not only was he a wonderful artist, he was a pillar of his community.  Colston was an Associate Professor of Fine Arts at Cols. College of Art and Design, as well as a recreation leader and art instructor with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.
