LESLIE COPE (1913-2002) “Logging” Original Oil on Board

Original oil on board by American artist Leslie Cope (1913-2002) depicts a pair of loggers hauling a sizable tree away by way of two strong workhorses. Cope was an artist whose subject matter actively revolved around the depiction of rural labor and landscapes in Ohio, New Mexico, and England and used a variety of mediums in producing his meticulously crafted, bucolic scenes. Framed in gold, this small painting is signed and dated to 1973 by the artist in the lower right hand side of the board.
