Rare Antique THONET Bentwood Umbrella Stand

Designed in 1888, and executed 1888-1911, an antique umbrella stand produced by Thonet. Structured on a demilune zinc base, three elegant bentwood legs create a beautifully ribbon illusion. A center carved wood pole supports the legs and a bentwood bar holds the umbrellas in place. Rare, this umbrella stand is an important piece of Thonet’s legacy of innovation.
