Original oil painting by renowned Belgian artist Roger Trente (1928-1993) depicts a copy of an original painting by Dutch master Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema (1836-1912) of women feeding koi fish. The figures are draped in beautiful gowns and lounge around a stone enclosure while a sprawling sea of blue occupies the background. Renowned for his ability to forge masterworks, as well as create original works, Trente crafts a painting that is almost indistinguishable from the work of Alma-Tadema. This painting is paired with a period style frame and is unsigned by Trente.
