This lithograph by contemporary European artist Sandra Jayat (1940-) depicts a dreamlike composition informed by Jayat’s romani upbringing. Jayat is an autodidact who taught herself to paint and read after encountering author Marcel Ayme (1902-1967). This work highlights the contradictory nature of her work, where dreams and reality collide to create a colorful, surreal piece of art. This limited edition lithograph is printed in color on wove paper and signed and numbered 91/125 by the artist in pencil. Framed in gold.
