Published by New Renaissance Masters, this print on canvas by American painter Stanley Maxwell Brice (1936-) depicts a highly rendered still life composition of florals, books, and candle light against a moody night sky with the interior of the scene reflected in a polished teapot just off center. Educated at the University of Tennessee, Brice’s paintings are renowned for their usage of trompe l’oeil and incredible attention to detail, exemplified in this piece. Housed in a gold frame with light distressing, this print is signed in plate by the artist and titled and numbered 11/99 on the reverse side of the frame.
