This original wall art by unlisted artist Susan L. Edquist is composed of heavily quilted fabric, creating a sculptural, yet still painterly piece of artwork. An intriguing, unique find, Edquist’s work exudes a soft aesthetic, with gentle pastel tones providing an abstracted landscape that invites the viewer’s wandering eye. Mounted on a wood frame and affixed with hanging wire, this piece is signed and dated to April of 1976 by Edquist on the reverse side of the artwork.

After FREDERIC REMINGTON “The Cheyenne” Bronze Sculpture
Cast from original molds by American artist Frederic Remington (1861-1909), this bronze sculpture depicts a Native American figure racing on horseback. Titled “The Cheyenne”, the original bronze version of this sculpture was cast in 1907 and now resides in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Standing on a freeform base, this bronze sculpture displays Remington’s cast signature at the base of the sculpture and displays a beautiful patina.
About the Artist:
Born in Canton, New York in 1861, Frederic Remington became an American sculptor and illustrator that specialized in depictions of Native Americans and the culture surrounding the old west. He attended school at Yale University for art, the only male student of his freshmen class. He traveled to Montana to purchase a cattle farm and then a mine operation, and after realizing that he couldn’t afford either, fell in love with the authentic west, drawing the people he would see on his travels.

An art deco statue of a nude woman by the Ronson AMW Manufacturing Company. While the company was typically a manufacturer of lighters, Ronson AMW did explore the market of cast statues, bookends, and sculptural décor. Dated circa 1930's this statue depicts a nude woman in repose, standing on a four-sided pedestal. Each pedestal is adorned with a smiling face mask, giving the overall piece a dramatic aesthetic.
