THOMAS MANGELSEN (1946-) “First Rays – Arctic Fox” Limited Edition Photographic Print

This limited edition photographic print by American photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen (1946-) captures the portrait of a small arctic fox taking in the first rays of sunshine after a cold, wintery night. A recipient of the Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography and many other accolades, Mangelsen has traversed the globe for his photographs, but remains firmly cemented in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, where he has lived for over 40 years. Mangelsen’s photographs are free from digital manipulation, often to the point where they are mistaken for paintings. Matted in white and housed in a pickled wood frame, this limited edition print is signed and numbered 422/950 by the artist along the bottom of the photo.
