Vintage FRANCES NARANJO (1936-2002) Santa Clara Wedding Vase
SOLD
By Santa Clara potter Frances Naranjo Salazar (1936-2002), this traditional wedding vase is dated vintage and offers a reverent piece of décor to add to the home. A vessel that is still used in traditional Native American wedding ceremonies, each spout on this vase represents the bride and groom to be wed, with the looped handle symbolizing the unity achieved through marriage. A highly traditional potter, Naranjo worked with mostly black and red stoneware, with this particular black on black piece signed on its underside by the artist.
This vase is amongst hundreds of pieces of décor that are available at our location in Grandview! Come in today and see the full collection.
