About the Artist: 

Sue Coe (1951-) was born in England, moving to New York City in the early 1970s to pursue her passion for both art and social activism.  Coe considered herself an activist first and an artist second, shining a critical light on topics such as social injustice and the American meat industry.  Her graphic and comic base art was featured in highly influential publications like The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, etc,.  She is widely regarded as one of the best and most scathing political artists of her time, with groundbreaking work that continues to challenge everything.
