Now Hiring: Assistant Consignment Coordinator

Grandview Mercantile, a Columbus institution since 1997, is on the hunt for an agile and service oriented candidate to add to our consignment team as Assistant Consignment Coordinator! You never know what will come through the door at the 'Merc, and our Assistant Consignment Coordinator has a front row seat to all of our new and exciting items!

This is a salaried role, Monday-Friday on-site, in Grandview, Ohio

A Day in The Role:

  • Performing administrative tasks including responding and managing consignor communication through email, phone calls and voicemails in a timely manner
  • Facilitating the drop-off process with all consignors; reviewing the quality and accuracy of the items, answering questions about the consignment agreement (contract), and delivering great customer service while doing so
  • Entering inventory into the POS system with attention to accuracy, transparency, and correct pricing for each item
  • Adding new and updating existing consignors in proprietary system to accurately reflect updated information as well as adding specific notes as needed
  • Organize and manage incoming communications for appointment setting and calendar reminders in Google Suite, while maintaining professional and consistent communication
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings and deliver reports on upcoming drop-offs, item specific details, and need-to-know information for the coming weeks
  • Regularly communicate with store team via email and Slack in regards to consignor issues, drop off details, and specialty or damaged items
  • Keep Store and Consignment Managers appraised of any issues that may arise or need special attention

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail Furniture Sales or Administration
  • Ability to have a creative workflow; no day may be the same
  • Strong Customer Service background in an elevated or luxury setting
  • Extremely high attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to make decisions independently; able to take feedback when necessary
  • Having a team-forward mindset; small business experience

It's a Plus to Have:

  • An interest in design, antiques, or furniture
  • Data entry or high-touch POS experience
