This table belonged to a local Columbus, Ohio establishment. When President William McKinley would visit and dine with Congressman John Vorys, which they did often, they would always sit at this table.
Includes the commemorative plaque that used to sit upon it, on location.
William McKinley (1843-1901) was the 25th President of the United States from 1897-1901. He was born in Niles, Ohio, about 200 miles northeast from Columbus. He was interred at West Lawn Cemetery in Canton, OH.
John Vorys (1896-1968) was a U.S. Representative from Ohio from 1939-1959. He was born in Lancaster, Ohio, but lived much of his life in Columbus. He was interred at Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, OH.
