Dated vintage, this original mixed media on canvas by Ohio regionalist artist James Yoko (1916-2004) depicts a solitary female figure in an interior setting, collections of torn paper collage lingering in the background. A central figure within the Dayton, Ohio art scene, Yoko was a prolific artist throughout his lifetime and gifted over 700 paintings to the Dayton Art Institute upon his death in 2012, making his paintings now highly prized for their rarity.
