Attributed to Ohio regionalist artist James Yoko (1916-2004), this original acrylic on canvas painting depicts a colorful landscape of trees basking in a late summer setting. Yoko was a prolific artist throughout his lifetime and a central figure within the Dayton, Ohio art scene, gifting over 700 paintings to the Dayton Art Institute upon his death in 2012. This original painting is housed in a simple wood framing and has been left unsigned by the artist, but is labeled as belonging to Yoko via a gallery label en verso.
