An original etching by French artist Henri Jourdain (1864-1931) depicts a canal and pathway along a French landscape in the cooling months of autumn. Jourdain’s etching offers a very melancholic feel that has been transcribed into romanticist imagery common in late 19th and early 20th century art. This etching has aged beautifully and is framed in gold and signed by Jourdain in the lower left corner of the print.
