JOHN RICHARD “Parys” Etching by F.B. WERNER SOLD

JAMES KIRBY (1931-1992) “Field Near Fentress” Original Woodcut

SOLD

Original woodcut print by American artist James Kirby (1931-1992) depicts an expansive field of gold with blue highlights against a slate blue sky, a moody mountain range looming in the background. Kirby’s linework and texture with this piece alludes to the natural world, yet pulls back the depth of representational rendering just enough to distort this landscape, creating an ethereal, almost abstract image. Housed in a wood frame with a distressed metallic finish, this original woodcut is signed, titled, and number 12/15 along the bottom of the print.

This woodcut is amongst hundreds of pieces of art that are available at our location in Grandview! Come in today and see the full collection.
