This original oil on panel painting by Ohio-based veterinarian and artist Kathy Bates depicts a landscape of the aptly named Paint Creek in Ross County, Ohio, the flowing water of the creek drawing a line to a single tree prominently marked with autumn foliage. Respected for her naturally impressionistic sensibilities, Bates’ quiet, charming scene is made all the more engaging by her usage of soft texture and masterful color choices, inviting a pleasant viewing experience for both artists and collectors alike. This original painting is housed in a sleek sable framing and is signed by the artist in the lower right hand corner of the panel with additional inscription en verso.
