Stone and bronze sculpture by American contemporary sculptor Mark Yale Harris (1936-) depicts the form of a bear, having trapped a polished bronze fish under fluid paws. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Harris’ first career was as a businessman, co-founding Red Roof Inns in 1972 while focusing on his art later in his career. Masterfully carved, this tasteful sculpture is signed and numbered 34/60 by the artist en verso, near the base of the bear.
