Stunning large scale oil painting by listed artist Federico Moja (1802-1885). Intricate scene depicting the interior of a cathedral filled with dozens of people. The artist paid great attention to detail, including every aspect of the interior. Rays of sunlight beam down through the windows. Artist signed in the lower right corner, along with Venezia and the date 1871. Housed in the original period frame with brass artist name plate.
About the artist:
Federcio Moja (1802-1885) is known for highly detailed and prized paintings primarily of architectural interiors and scenes of Venice. Many of his works have sold at major auction houses like Christies and Sothebys throughout the world.

Traditional and delightfully ornate, this wall sconce has a very unusual composition. This early 1900s piece has a metal construction. The form of a lyre is suspended by a metal rope from a wall medallion with finial. Olive branches, tassels, and slivers of red glass decorate the piece. A crystal dome houses a single bulb, activated by a pull chain. This antique piece has been recently rewired and has a standard plug.

A fabulous silver and black leather handbag, fully hallmarked for Odessa, Russia and made betwen 1908-1917 during the reign of Nicholas II. The piece has an elephant embossed in the silver. The silver flap is on a sturdy hinge. Inside is the main compartment and two slim card holder slots. The chain appears to be bronze. The clasp bears an English Patent Number indicating that it was patented in 1896.
Antique table lamp has a rounded base with an antiqued gold-tone finish, matching the scenic frame of the shade. Circa the 1920s-30s, the shade frame is pierced and stylized to create a quaint country scene with trees and architecture. Slag glass panels behind the scene have tones of blue, green, and purple. A short crown of panels surrounds the heat cap at the top. Recently rewired, this lamp has two angled bulbs with pull chains.
