Original oil on board painting by American artist Norman O’Brien (1920-1982) depicts a collection of stacked buildings along a dirt road and country landscape; prominent, dramatic clouds passing overhead. O’Brien, educated in New England, began his career working in commercial art until turning to painting full-time, in which he became known for his depictions of architecture. He eventually moved to California and operated galleries along Laguna Beach. Housed in a distressed white frame, this original painting is signed by the artist in the lower right corner of the board.
