Original mixed media painting on board by Ohio-based artist Ron Arps depicts a woman dressed in gold against a matching, Klimt-esque background adorned with geometric forms and gold accents. Educated at the Columbus College of Art and Design, Parsons School of Design, and SUNY Purchase, Arps draws inspiration from the grand generation of turn of the century European painters such as Gustav Klimt, Odd Nerdrum, and Egon Schiele, the influence of whom can be proudly seen in this sizable painting. Housed in a minimal wood framing, this original painting is signed and dated circa 2000 by Arps on the reverse side of the board.
