RONALD NEWMAN (1937-) “Remembering” Original Oil on Linen

This original oil on linen painting by American artist Ronald D. Newman (1937-) depicts a dreamlike, abstract composition of aggressive waves of blue enveloping a beaming sun, multicolor rays of light enrapturing the viewer. A celebrated painter and printmaker, Newman attended the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio where he received a BFA in painting in 1961. He would later return to CCAD as an instructor before completing his MFA at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. This original painting is mounted on its original stretcher bars and is signed and titled by the artist en verso.
