Unique framed artwork features two paintings back to back in the manner of early 20th century Belarusian painter Chaim Soutine. Soutine’s work and popularity exploded after World War II and was subject to frequent forgeries and copies, this double faced painting being an example as indicated by the misspelled “Souitine” signature. The opposite piece on the back depicts a Fauvist landscape of a pathway leading through a clearing of trees. These pieces are reversible and framed in a distressed gold.
