STEPHEN ROSSER “Apollo and Persephone” Original Mixed Media Drawing on Paper

This original mixed media drawing by Oklahoma-based painter Stephen Rosser depicts an absurdist, yet glamorous portrait of a masked cowboy, “Apollo”, his arm perched over a tall cactus wearing a ten-gallon hat. Raised on a ranch from an early age, Rosser regularly incorporates cowboy and wild west imagery into his works, gaining representation within art galleries nationwide throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Matted and housed in a pickled wood framing, this mixed media drawing is signed by the artist in the bottom right hand corner of the paper.
